Sacsayhuaman

On the way down to the city center, we will pass (entrance is optional) by the archaeological remains of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive walled complex made of giant stones. This place is a great example of the mastery the Incas achieved in stone work. Sacsayhuaman has been considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1983.

San Blas

Our first stop will be the San Blas neighborhood, a neighborhood full of art and history that houses an important parish and many artists and their workshops. We will walk through its narrow and steep streets to admire very old houses dating back to the Spanish occupation; these houses were built using the foundations of ancient Inca constructions.

Main Square of the City

We will make a stop at the Twelve-Angle Stone. We will then continue to the city's Main Square, the social heart of the city. We will see its beautiful fountain and admire the impressive Cathedral.

Local San Pedro Market

The last stop will be at the Local San Pedro Market, a place that opens every day of the week and offers a wide variety of products such as pastries, fresh juices, delicious cheeses, huge breads even larger than a head, tropical fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices, fresh Coca leaves, and also "strange" things like snakes in bottles, animal snouts, and heads served in soups.
