Our journey begins very early in the morning. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and head to the port of Puno to visit the floating islands.

We’ll start by exploring the famous floating islands of the Uros, a group of artificial islands made of totora reeds, an aquatic plant native to the region. These islands are home to indigenous communities who have lived there for centuries. The boat ride from the port of Puno to the islands takes approximately 30 minutes. Then, we’ll head to the picturesque Taquile Island, known for its stunning landscapes and the remarkable weaving skills of its inhabitants. During a walk around the island, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a local family and learn about their culture and traditions. You’ll also get to explore the island’s main square, located at an altitude of 3,950 m (12,959 ft), where you can admire and purchase traditional Taquile textiles — recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The boat trip from the floating Uros Islands to Taquile Island takes about two and a half hours.
