14-Day Peru Travel Package: Lima, Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, and Machu Picchu

📅Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon your arrival in Lima, whether in the morning or afternoon, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your selected hotel, where you can rest before beginning your activities.

📅Day 02: Full Day Paracas – Ballestas Islands – Ica – Huacachina

Pickup in the Miraflores area between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Departure from Lima at 5:00 a.m., after picking up passengers from different hotels.

We head south of Lima on an approximately 3.5-hour journey to Paracas. At 9:00 a.m., we arrive and head to El Chaco Pier. From here, we depart for the Ballestas Islands aboard modern speedboats. In Paracas Bay, you can observe marine wildlife, including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, flamingos, parihuanas, and various seabirds.

You will also see the Candelabra geoglyph, where the guide will explain the different theories about its origin. The tour ends at approximately 10:30 a.m. We then board our transportation again and head to the city of Ica. Estimated arrival at 12:00 p.m., with time for lunch and a visit to one of Ica’s most renowned wineries.

We will tour the facilities to taste wines, piscos, and cachinas, and learn about the equipment used in the traditional production of pisco and wine. You will also have time for lunch, where you can enjoy traditional Ica cuisine.

After lunch, we head to the Huacachina Oasis for a dune buggy ride through the desert. Sandboarding is included. If weather conditions are favorable, we will enjoy the sunset over the desert.

After completing the activities, return to Lima with a stop in Chincha for last-minute shopping and restroom facilities. Arrival in Lima at approximately 10:00 p.m.

📅Day 03: Lima City Tour + Magic Water Circuit

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Lima to begin exploring Peru’s capital, a city rich in history, culture, and contrasts.

Our first stop will be the Historic Center of Lima, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore its colonial streets, iconic squares, and colonial-era architecture that reflects centuries of history.

We will continue to Lima’s Main Square, the political and historical heart of the city, where you can admire the Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, and Municipal Palace. We will also visit a colonial church and its catacombs, exploring the history of the colonial period.

Next, we head to Love Park, located along the Miraflores waterfront. From this spot, you can enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean at one of the city’s most photographed locations.

Finally, we will visit the Magic Water Circuit in the Parque de la Reserva, a complex of ornamental fountains featuring a spectacular light, music, and water show, recognized as one of the largest of its kind in the world.

At the end of the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight accommodation in Lima.

📅Day 04: Arrival in Arequipa + City Tour + Santa Catalina Monastery

Upon your arrival in Arequipa, our team will be waiting to assist you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude while enjoying the charm of the White City, surrounded by the Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes.

In the afternoon, we will begin our city tour of Arequipa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its colonial architecture built from white volcanic sillar stone.

We will start at the Carmen Alto Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the Chili Valley and the volcanoes surrounding the city. We will continue to the Yanahuara neighborhood, famous for its arched viewpoint and views of Misti Volcano.

Next, we will explore Arequipa’s Main Square, one of the most beautiful in Peru, surrounded by colonial arcades and the Cathedral. We will then visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, considered a city within a city. This colonial religious complex features streets, cloisters, squares, and rooms filled with history and color.

At the end of the tour, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

📅Day 05: Sillar Route

Discover the secrets of the White City along the Sillar Route, a journey combining culture, history, and nature. During this tour, you will visit the Yanahuara Viewpoint, offering views of Misti Volcano and its colonial arches.

We will continue to the Añashuayco Quarries, where the white volcanic stone used to build Arequipa’s most iconic structures is extracted. Here, you can observe sillar artisans working with traditional techniques.

Next, we will visit Culebrillas Gorge, an inactive quarry where wind and time have sculpted natural formations. During the walk, you will observe pre-Hispanic petroglyphs that reveal the history of the region’s earliest inhabitants.

The Sillar Route, including the walk through Culebrillas, is designed for those who wish to connect with Arequipa’s art, geology, and living culture.

📅Day 06: Arequipa + Overnight in Chivay

At 8:00 a.m., we begin our journey to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our base will be the town of Chivay, which we will reach in approximately 4 hours, including sightseeing stops.

Our first stop is Pampa Cañahuas, where you can observe local vicuñas. Nearby, we will visit Patahuasi to enjoy traditional coca tea, a popular drink for altitude sickness, also known as soroche. We will then stop at the Tocra wetlands, where alpacas can be seen grazing freely.

We will stop at the Volcano Viewpoint, the highest point along the route, at 4,800 meters above sea level, offering views of much of the Western Andes. From here, it takes approximately 40 minutes to reach Chivay. Arrival around 12:30 p.m. for lunch.

After lunch, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy the hot springs, with water temperatures ranging from 35°C to 38°C. During dinner, you can enjoy a folkloric show featuring traditional dances from the region.

📅Day 07: Chivay – Colca Canyon + Journey to Puno

After breakfast, we will head to the Cruz del Condor Viewpoint, approximately 30 minutes away. This is a prime observation point for Colca Canyon and condors in flight. We will spend approximately 45 minutes here admiring the canyon.

On the return journey, we will stop at local viewpoints overlooking the valley’s agricultural terraces and in the town of Maca, where we will visit its church. Optionally, you can taste local beverages such as Colca Sour, made with regional ingredients. Lunch in Chivay at 12:00 p.m.

After lunch, we depart for Puno at 1:30 p.m.

📅Day 08: Full Day Uros and Taquile + Overnight at a Uros Lodge

After breakfast, our staff will pick you up from your hotel between 7:00 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. We will board a motorboat for an excursion on Lake Titicaca to visit the floating Uros Islands. These ancient lake inhabitants, known as the water people, build their own islands by periodically adding new layers of totora reeds. They also use this material to build their houses and boats.

We continue sailing to Taquile Island, inhabited by Quechua communities that have developed their own social system and renowned weaving techniques over generations.

Upon arrival, we will enjoy lunch. Afterward, there will be a walk through the island’s hills and archaeological sites. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at one of the Uros lodges.

📅Day 09: Route of the Sun Puno – Cusco

Today, we travel along one of Peru’s most beautiful routes, the Route of the Sun, a scenic journey connecting Puno and Cusco through high Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and archaeological sites of great historical value.

In the morning, at the scheduled time, we will begin our journey aboard tourist transportation. Along the way, you will enjoy views of the Peruvian Altiplano, with mountains, lagoons, and Andean communities that preserve their traditions.

Our first stop will be the Pukara Lithic Museum, featuring archaeological artifacts and sculptures from the pre-Inca Pukara culture, one of the most important civilizations of the Altiplano.

We will continue to the highest point of the journey, La Raya Pass, the natural boundary between Puno and Cusco, offering Andean landscapes and time for photographs.

Next, we will visit the Raqchi archaeological complex, also known as the Temple of the God Wiracocha, an Inca structure renowned for its enormous walls and religious and historical importance.

Further along, we will stop at the Andahuaylillas Church, known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, famous for its colonial art and murals. Buffet lunch in Sicuani.

Finally, we arrive in Cusco, where our team will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

📅Day 10: Sacred Valley with Maras and Moray + Overnight in Aguas Calientes

Pickup from accommodations between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Begin the VIP Sacred Valley of the Incas tour, visiting Andean villages that still preserve traditions from centuries past.

Our first stop will be Chinchero, where we will visit a textile center to learn about Inca weaving techniques. Next, we will visit Moray, with its circular terraces that once served as agricultural experimentation centers. We will continue to the Maras Salt Mines, with time for photographs.

We will pass through the town of Maras and arrive in Urubamba for a buffet lunch at one of the local restaurants.

After lunch, we continue to Ollantaytambo to visit the fortress. At the end of the tour, transfer to Ollantaytambo train station. The train departs at 4:36 p.m., and the journey takes approximately 2 hours to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to take you to your selected hotel and provide information about the following day’s activities.

📅Day 11: Machu Picchu Excursion

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the bus station for a 30-minute journey to the Machu Picchu citadel. We will enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of this remarkable site, including the Temple of the Three Windows, Intihuatana or Sun Dial, royal enclosures, and cemeteries.

At the end of the tour, return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch. In the afternoon, depending on the train departure schedule, we will head to the station for the return journey to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the city of Cusco.

📅Day 12: Free Day in Cusco

Today, you will have the opportunity to visit the city’s main viewpoints and well-known streets, including Siete Borreguitos, Sapantiana, Cristo Blanco, and the Twelve-Angled Stone. You can also explore San Pedro Market, where you will find handicrafts and regional products, and the San Blas neighborhood, known as the artisans’ quarter, among other attractions in Cusco.

📅Day 13: Rainbow Mountain by ATV

The Rainbow Mountain ATV tour offers a faster alternative for reaching Vinicunca. Instead of hiking uphill for 1 hour, you will ride an ATV for approximately 30 to 40 minutes to the closest point to the mountain.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. and continue through the South Valley. During the approximately 2-hour journey, you will enjoy different landscapes until reaching the district of Cupi, where an Andean buffet breakfast will be served. We then pass through Checacupe and arrive at the base in Ccairahuiri.

At this base, the guide will provide instructions on operating the ATV. After a safety practice session and with the instructor’s authorization, you will ride the ATV uphill for 30 to 40 minutes to the closest point to Vinicunca, at 5,036 meters above sea level.

The guide will explain the mountain’s topography, ecosystem, and colors, which result from the oxides of different minerals found on its slopes. From this point, you can enjoy views of Apu Ausangate (6,384 meters above sea level).

After the visit, return to the base to leave the ATV and continue to the restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:00 p.m. near the Main Square.

📅Day 14: Return to Your Home Country

After breakfast, depending on your flight departure time, pickup will be scheduled 2 hours in advance to transfer you to the airport for your flight to Lima and onward journey to your home country.
