Travel Itinerary
Departure from Cusco
We depart early in the morning, around 6:00 a.m., to begin this incredible journey.
First stop: Andahuaylillas (8:30 a.m.)
We arrive at this picturesque town located 36 km from Cusco, famous for housing the San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas Church, known as the Sistine Chapel of America. Inside, you will discover a true artistic treasure with stunning mural paintings, gold leaf details and wood carvings that make this temple a jewel of Andean Baroque.
Second stop: Raqchi (11:00 a.m.)
Our route takes us to the archaeological site of Raqchi, where the imposing Temple of Wiracocha stands. This majestic stone and adobe structure features walls up to 15 meters high, colcas (Inca warehouses) and urban constructions that show the greatness of the Inca Empire. Here we will enjoy a guided visit of approximately 40 minutes.
Lunch en route
At midday, we will take a break to enjoy a buffet lunch, ideal for recharging energy before continuing our tour.
Third stop: Abra La Raya
We continue our journey to La Raya, the highest point of our crossing, where we will marvel at the Andean landscapes and the impressive view of the snow-capped Chimboya mountain. Here we will have time to take photographs and breathe the pure air of the Andes.
Fourth stop: Pucará Lithic Museum
Our next stop is the Pucará Lithic Museum, a fascinating place where monoliths, stelae, ceramics and pre-Columbian artifacts are exhibited that tell the story of the Pucará culture, a civilization that flourished between 100 BC and 300 AD.
Final stop: Puno and Lake Titicaca (6:30 p.m.)
We finish our tour in the city of Puno, home to the majestic Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. From here, you will have the opportunity to further explore the cultural and natural richness of the region.
