Travel Itinerary
This tour combines beautiful natural landscapes with Inca architecture in Tipon and pre-Inca Wari architecture in Pikillakta, visiting the beautiful Chapel of Andahuaylillas known as the "Sistine Chapel of America," as well as the opportunity to taste the delicious typical cuisine in Saylla, Huasao..
Pick up:
First Visit:
Our first stop will be at the archaeological site of Tipon, where we will learn more about the hydraulic works, such as the fountain and its wonderful channels, and about the water distribution system to each plot.
Second Visit:
After a guided tour, our journey takes us to Pikillacta, a site that offers a combination of landscape, history, and, above all, urban organization. It demonstrates how the surroundings used to be.
Final Visit:
Our final destination will be Andahuaylillas, also known as The Sistine Chapel of America, where you can find a fabulous collection of Cusco paintings, as well as mural paintings dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. Inside this temple, you can appreciate the famous door with inscriptions in five languages, which was completely covered in gold.
