📅DAY 1: Arrival in Cusco – City Tour and Nearby Archaeological Sites
Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you by private transportation to your hotel. In the afternoon, around 1:00 p.m., we will begin a cultural tour of the city. We’ll start at the majestic Cusco Cathedral and then head to the ancient Temple of the Sun – Qorikancha, considered one of the most important sacred sites of the Inca Empire. The experience continues with visits to the archaeological complexes located around the city: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, all filled with Andean history and energy. We’ll finish the tour at Cusco’s iconic Plaza de Armas, around 6:00 p.m.📅DAY 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes
We start early with hotel pickup at 8:00 a.m. to explore the wonderful Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be the archaeological site of Pisac, famous for its agricultural terraces and colorful handicraft market. Then we’ll head to the town of Urubamba, where we’ll enjoy a buffet lunch featuring the best of local cuisine. In the afternoon, we continue to the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, one of the most important military and religious centers of the Inca Empire. From here, we’ll board the train bound for Aguas Calientes, the town located at the foot of Machu Picchu. Overnight in hotel in Aguas Calientes.📅DAY 3: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
Early in the morning, we’ll take the bus that will take us on a 25-minute ride to the entrance of the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. There you will witness the sunrise over the Andes and feel the unique energy of this sacred site. With our expert guide, you’ll explore the agricultural and urban sectors, main temples, plazas, viewpoints, and aqueducts. At the end of the tour, you’ll have free time to continue exploring or simply enjoy the scenery. In the afternoon, we’ll take the train back to Ollantaytambo, from where we’ll transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight in hotel in Cusco.📅DAY 4: Excursion to Humantay Lake
Between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., we depart for the picturesque town of Mollepata, located in a fertile valley bathed by the Apurímac River. There we’ll enjoy a traditional breakfast and visit its site museum. We then continue to Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.), where we begin a two-hour hike towards the stunning Humantay Lake, located at the foot of the majestic Salkantay snow-capped mountain. This turquoise mirror of water is one of the most photogenic landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. After exploring the area, we return to Mollepata to enjoy a buffet lunch, and in the afternoon we return to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 p.m. Overnight in hotel in Cusco.📅DAY 5: Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
At 4:00 a.m., we depart from Cusco heading south, on a journey of approximately 3 hours to the community of Cusipata, where we’ll have an Andean breakfast. We then continue to Kayrawiri, the starting point of a 3-hour hike reaching 5,000 m.a.s.l. to discover the astonishing Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca. This magical place is characterized by its natural bands of vibrant colors, the result of the mineral composition of the terrain. We’ll spend about an hour at the summit to admire the landscape and take photos before descending and returning to Cusco in the afternoon. Overnight in hotel in Cusco.📅DAY 6: Transfer to the Airport – Farewell to Cusco
