Travel Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Cusco – City Tour and Nearby Archaeological Sites

Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our team will give you a warm welcome and transfer you in private transportation to your hotel. In the afternoon, around 1:00 p.m., we will begin a cultural tour of the city. We'll start at the majestic Cusco Cathedral and then head to the ancient Temple of the Sun – Qorikancha, considered one of the most important sacred enclosures of the Inca empire.

The experience continues with visits to the archaeological complexes located in the city's surroundings: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, all loaded with history and Andean energy. We finish the tour at the emblematic Plaza de Armas of Cusco, around 6:00 p.m.

DAY 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes

We start early with hotel pickup at 8:00 a.m. to explore the wonderful Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be at the archaeological site of Pisac, famous for its agricultural terraces and colorful artisan market. Then, we'll head to the town of Urubamba, where we'll enjoy a buffet lunch with the best of local cuisine.

In the afternoon, we continue to the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, one of the most important military and religious centers of the Inca empire. From here, we'll board the train heading to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu.

DAY 3: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

Very early, we'll take the bus that will take us on a 25-minute journey to the entrance of the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. There you can contemplate the sunrise over the Andes and feel the unique energy of this sacred site.

With our expert guide, you'll tour the agricultural and urban sectors, the main temples, plazas, viewpoints, and aqueducts. Upon finishing the tour, you'll have free time to continue exploring or simply enjoy the landscape. In the afternoon, we'll take the train back to Ollantaytambo, from where we'll take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 4: Humantay Lake Excursion

Between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., we depart toward the picturesque town of Mollepata, located in a fertile valley bathed by the Apurímac River. There we'll taste a traditional breakfast and visit its site museum. Then we continue to Soraypampa (12,795 ft above sea level), where the nearly two-hour hike begins toward the stunning Humantay Lake, situated at the foot of the majestic Salkantay snow-capped mountain.

This turquoise water mirror is one of the most photogenic landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. After exploring the place, we return to Mollepata to enjoy a buffet lunch, and in the afternoon we return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m.

DAY 5: 7 Colors Mountain (Vinicunca)

At 4:00 a.m. we depart from Cusco heading south, on a journey of approximately 3 hours to the community of Cusipata, where we'll have an Andean breakfast. Then we continue to Kayrawiri, starting point to begin a 3-hour hike until reaching 16,404 ft above sea level and discovering the amazing 7 Colors Mountain or Vinicunca.

This magical place is characterized by its natural stripes of vibrant colors, a product of the mineral composition of the terrain. We'll spend about an hour at the summit to admire the landscape and take photographs before descending and returning to Cusco in the afternoon.

DAY 6: Airport Transfer – Farewell to Cusco

After breakfast at the hotel, at the coordinated time, we'll provide your transfer in private transportation to Cusco airport to catch your departure flight.
