Travel Itinerary
Embark on an exciting 5 days and 4 nights excursion in Peru, culminating in the majestic Machu Picchu. Discover the cultural and natural richness of this unforgettable journey.
Day 1: Arrival to Cusco and City Tour
Upon arrival, we will be waiting for you at the airport in Cusco, to transfer you to your hotel.
In the afternoon Guided Tour of the Imperial City of Cusco, visit the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Temple of Qoricancha and the nearby archaeological centers of Kenko, Tambomachay, Pucapucara and the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
Overnight in Cusco.
Day 2: Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Inkas
After breakfast and between 08.30 and 08.45 am, we pick you up from the hotel to start the guided excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visit the indigenous fair of Pisaq, which is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, in which the villagers make commercial exchanges as their ancestors did in ancient times.
We continue with a buffet lunch in a local restaurant.
Then we head to the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the people of the jungle. We will have the opportunity to walk through the streets of the town and get a clear idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire.
We will return to Cusco via Chincheros where the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui are located. You will admire its well preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca building.
Return to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 3: Cusco - Machu Picchu
Day 4: Machu Picchu Escursion
After breakfast, we move to the station, to accommodate you in the buses that will take you to the citadel of Machupicchu, in a journey of approximately 30 minutes.
In the mountain, we will enjoy the sunrise in the citadel, then our guide will start the guided tour of approximately 2 hours, by the main sectors of the citadel: Agricultural, Civil, Military and Religious, visiting the Intiwatana, the temple of the sun, the temple of the Condor and other important sectors.
Later you will have free time to explore the city on your own and around 14:00 hrs, we will be taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch.
In the afternoon return by train to Cusco, where we will be waiting for you at Poroy station to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 5: Return to Lima
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Lima.
