The tour consists of the following :

During the first day of this car tour to Machu Picchu, we will start the journey on the way to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, seeing the stunning mountains surrounding us. After a brief stop in Ollantaytambo, we will continue the journey to Abra Malaga, at an altitude of 4,300 meters / 14,100 feet, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of some of Peru's most breathtaking landscapes. We will continue the journey descending to the jungle, passing through several microclimates. We will drive on different roads to Santa Maria, where we will rest for a moment, then we will continue the journey to Santa Teresa, where we will have lunch. The final part of the journey begins: we will go to the train station near the Hydroelectric plant. The car route ends and we will walk along the rails for 2.5 hours to the town of Aguas Calientes (Optional Hydroelectric Train - Aguas Calientes + US $ 25.00).

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B)

On the second day of this car tour to Machu Picchu, we will climb Machu Picchu early in the morning: for this we have 2 options, one is to walk for 2 hours to the top or take the bus which costs US $ 19.00 round trip (25 minutes). Upon arrival, you will have a 2-hour guided tour where you will see the Intiwatana (Sun Temple), the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Three Windows, agricultural terraces, and other attractions. You will have time to explore the site on your own. You will walk through the narrow streets and appreciate the stunning stonework of the citadel. Around 1 pm we will take the train back to the Hydroelectric plant, where a car will be waiting for us. We will go to Santa Teresa, where we will rest for a while before heading to Cusco, where we will arrive in the evening.
