🌍 Travel Itinerary

📅DAY 1: Arrival in Lima – City Tour and Surroundings

Reception upon arrival at Lima’s “Jorge Chávez” International Airport and private transfer to your selected hotel. In the afternoon (02:00 p.m.), begin a guided tour of some of the most emblematic sites of the capital. Start with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a fascinating ceremonial complex built in the 4th century A.D., considered a sacred place by the ancient Incas.

Next, explore Lima’s Historic Center, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll see more than fifty remarkable colonial structures such as Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the Municipal Palace. During colonial times, Lima was the political and cultural heart of the Spanish crown in South America.

Then, visit the San Francisco Monastery Complex, famous for its impressive catacombs and as one of the most striking examples of colonial religious art in the continent.

We’ll finish with a panoramic tour through Lima’s most elegant and modern districts: San Isidro, Miraflores, and Larcomar.

📅DAY 2: Paracas & Ica – Ballestas Islands and City Tour

Early departure (around 05:15 a.m.) toward Paracas in private service. At 08:30 a.m., arrival at the pier to begin a boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands, a natural sanctuary home to sea lions, penguins, guano birds, and other Pacific marine species.

After returning to the pier, continue to the city of Ica. Visit the beautiful Huacachina Lagoon, an oasis surrounded by towering dunes. On the way, stop at “El Catador” winery, Ica’s most visited bodega, where you’ll taste local wines, piscos, and handmade liquors. Free time for lunch (not included).

In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting dune buggy ride through the desert and try sandboarding on the golden dunes. The energy, landscapes, and adventure will make this day truly unforgettable.

📅DAY 3: Flight Over the Nazca Lines – Return to Lima

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up around 09:05 a.m. for transfer to Nazca. At approximately 11:15 a.m., board a small aircraft to experience the famous flight over the Nazca Lines  impressive geometric and zoomorphic figures drawn in the desert sand more than a thousand years ago, visible only from the air.

After the flight, return to Lima and transfer to your hotel.

📅DAY 4: Lima – Cusco – City Tour

Transfer to the Lima airport to take your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel.

In the afternoon (around 01:00 p.m.), begin a guided tour of Cusco’s main attractions. Visit the imposing Cathedral and the legendary Temple of the Sun or Qorikancha, a stunning symbol of Inca religious architecture.

Continue with visits to nearby archaeological sites: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay — all surrounded by the scenic mountain landscape of the Cusco Valley.

📅DAY 5: Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart at 08:00 a.m. to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting at the Awanacancha textile center, where you’ll learn about traditional Andean weaving techniques and natural dyeing methods.

Then visit the archaeological site of Pisac, with its impressive agricultural terraces and colorful artisan market. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, a fertile region known for its corn production.

In the afternoon, explore the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, a complex with both military and religious purposes, considered one of the last strongholds of the Inca Empire. From there, board the train to Aguas Calientes.

📅DAY 6: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

📅DAY 7 to DAY 10: Exploration of the Manu Biosphere Reserve

Day 7: Departure from Cusco crossing Andean mountains and picturesque villages like Paucartambo. Arrive at the entrance of Manu National Park (Acjanaco) and descend into the cloud forest to observe birds such as the Cock-of-the-Rock. Continue by riverboat to the lodge.

Day 8: Jungle walk through the Amazon rainforest. Visit a mammal clay lick, where you may observe tapirs, deer, and  with luck  the majestic jaguar.

Day 9: Visit the macaw clay lick, then navigate to Machuwasi Lagoon to spot wildlife such as capybaras, birds, and even caimans during a nighttime excursion.

Day 10: Return journey to Cusco, with stops to observe wildlife and cloud forest landscapes. Arrival in the city around 4:00 p.m.
