Embark on an epic 4-day journey along the Inca Trail to the majestic Machu Picchu. Discover history, nature and culture on this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Day 1: Cusco - Wayllabamba
Start your day early, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco for a bus trip to kilometer 82, where the Inca Trail begins. The initial hike is relatively easy and offers stunning landscapes, with views of La Verónica snow-capped mountain and the Vilcanota River.
You'll head towards the archaeological complex of Llactapata, where you'll enjoy lunch before continuing to the first camp at Wayllabamba. After a day full of amazing landscapes, you'll rest with a comforting dinner and a night under the stars.
Day 2: Warmihuañusca - Pacaymayu - Runkurakay - Chaquicocha (B)(L)(D)
After an early breakfast, the most challenging day of the Inca Trail awaits you, you'll climb to the highest point of the trail, the Warmihuañusca pass or "Dead Woman," at about 4,200 meters above sea level.
The ascent can be arduous, but the panoramic views and the achievement of reaching the highest point of the route make the effort worthwhile. After this milestone, you descend for lunch at Pacaymayu before continuing to the camp at Chaquicocha for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Chaquicocha- Phuyupatamarca - Wiñay wayna (B)(L)(D)
The third day offers a more relaxed hike, but with many points of interest. The route takes you through various ecological zones and archaeological sites such as Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca, known as the "city above the clouds."
Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views and have time to explore these ancient sites. After six hours of hiking, you'll reach the camp at Wiñaywayna, just two hours from Machu Picchu.
In the evening, you can enjoy dinner and rest for the big day ahead.
Day 4: Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco
You'll wake up early to begin the final stage to Machu Picchu, walking approximately two hours until reaching Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, where you'll have the first spectacular view of Machu Picchu.
Here, the first lights of day illuminate the citadel, creating a truly unforgettable moment. After exploring Machu Picchu with a two-hour guided tour and discovering its streets, squares, temples, we'll take the tourist bus down to Aguas Calientes.
Depending on your return time, we'll board the Vistadome Panoramic train to return to Cusco, arriving at your hotel to rest, after having lived an incredible experience on the Inca Trail.
