Visiting Hours
To accommodate the preferences and schedules of our visitors, we offer two pickup options for our City Tour in Cusco.
The first pickup time for passengers starts at 9:00 am and goes until 2:00 pm.
The second pickup time is offered in the afternoon, starting from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, perfect for those who prefer a more relaxed experience and want to enjoy the evening atmosphere of Cusco after the tour.
In both time slots, you will visit the Main Square, entrance to the Cusco Cathedral (optional), the Qoricancha Temple, then proceed to the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and finish at Tambomachay.
1) Visit to Qoricancha (optional visit to the Cusco Cathedral)
Our first destination is the impressive Temple of the Sun, also known as Qoricancha. This archaeological site is a testament to Incan ingenuity and construction mastery.
Here, visitors can marvel at the perfection of Incan architecture and the fusion with Spanish influence after the conquest. Please note that the entry fee to this site will be S/ 20.00 starting May 1st.
Our next stop is to explore the Main Square of Cusco, and optionally, visit the majestic Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial art that houses an impressive collection of religious art and Cuzco paintings. This optional visit allows travelers to immerse themselves even more in the history and culture of Cusco, exploring its religious and artistic heritage.
2) Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay Tour
Continuing our tour, we head to the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuaman, an Inca fortress located on the outskirts of Cusco. Here, visitors can admire the magnificence of the massive carved stones and learn about the construction techniques used by the Incas.
Next, we visit the archaeological complex of Qenqo, a sacred site where religious ceremonies took place. Travelers can explore the stone labyrinths and ceremonial altars while learning about the spiritual beliefs and practices of the Incas.
Our next stop is Puca Pucara, a military fortress and administrative center that served to protect the entrance to Cusco. Here, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and appreciate the strategic planning of the Incas in the defense of their empire.
Finally, we reach Tambomachay, known as the "Inca Bath," a complex of fountains and water channels that were used for ritual and ceremonial purposes. This site offers a fascinating look at the Incas' connection with water and its importance in their worldview.
