Humantay Lagoon Itinerary
Embark on an exciting journey to Humantay Lagoon starting early in the morning. Enjoy a scenic hike of 1 to 1.5 hours to 2 hours to admire spectacular views, then return to Mollepata for lunch before heading back to Cusco.
Pickup
Wake up early and get ready for a day full of emotions from the moment our team picks you up from your hotel, punctually between 4:30 a.m. and 4:40 a.m., as previously agreed. We will embark on a journey in a vehicle that will last approximately two and a half hours, until we arrive at Mollepata.
In Mollepata, in addition to enjoying a delicious breakfast, once we are ready, we will begin our hike to the impressive Humantay Lagoon, located at an altitude of 4200 meters.
Hike
Our first stop will be in Mollepata, after a hearty breakfast, we will drive by road for approximately 45 minutes until we reach Soraypampa, located at 3900 meters above sea level.
In Soraypampa, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of the mountains and glaciers that will take your breath away. The ascent will take you approximately one and a half to two hours and will take you to this beautiful lagoon located at 4200 meters above sea level, at the foot of the imposing Nevado Salkantay. Once there, you will have between 40 minutes and 1 hour to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the surroundings, as well as to capture impressive photographs that will attest to your experience.
After having absorbed the energy of this magical place, we will begin the descent back to Soraypampa, a hike of approximately one hour. From there, we will transfer back to Mollepata, where a delicious lunch awaits to recharge your batteries.
Return
Finally, we will return to Cusco, with an estimated time of arrival between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., thus completing an unforgettable day full of adventure and natural beauty.
