Tour Machu Picchu Wayna in 1 Day.

At 05:30 am, our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you in a private vehicle to the Ollantaytambo station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, a charming town near the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. The train journey, which lasts about 2 hours, offers spectacular views combining the beauty of the mountains and the jungle. The train gradually descends to 2100 meters above sea level, following the course of the Urubamba River. This journey is one of the most impressive in Peru due to its incomparable landscapes.

Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, a member of our team will meet you at the station and guide you to the bus stop that will take you uphill to the Machu Picchu ruins. This short bus ride of about 20 minutes travels on an unpaved, steep, winding road through a mountain with lush vegetation and stunning views.

Finally, we will arrive at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where our local guide will take us on a 2-hour tour of the highlights of this beautiful Inca citadel. We will explore the agricultural area, with its sets of farming terraces, as well as the urban area where the ancient inhabitants lived and where the main civil and religious activities took place. We will also visit the Intiwatana of Machu Picchu, located at the highest part of the citadel, along with the temple of the sun, the temple of the condor, and other significant sectors.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the city on your own. Around 1:00 pm, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch. In the afternoon, we will return by train to the town of Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo station, a representative of Mystery Peru will be waiting for you and will transport you in a private vehicle back to the city of Cusco. The journey to Cusco takes about an hour and a half. Upon arrival in Cusco, our driver will drop you off at your hotel.
