Adventure Tour alternative to the Inca Trail. The Inca Jungle tour can be done in 3 or 4 days and is a combination of biking, trekking during our trip to Machu Picchu. It is suitable for anyone with a sense of adventure and curiosity.
Day 1: Cusco – Santa Maria – Bicycle
Pick up from hotel at 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 and heading towards the Sacred Valley, where we can appreciate beautiful and scenic natural attractions. We stop after an hour and a half approx. in the town of Ollantaytambo where you can enjoy breakfast then continue by car for about an hour until the Abra Malaga (4316 m.s.n.m.) where we start the downhill biking after an hour and a half approx. HUAMANMARKA will stop at the archaeological site where the guide will explain details about that place, then continue through orchards and rivers.
Arrival in Santa Maria at 4:00 to 5:00 PM and during descent through the valley will have the support of our guide, and emergency transportation which is attached only to Santa Maria where we will sleep. (Lunch, dinner and overnight).
Day 2: Santa Maria – Santa Teresa – Walk
We got up at 7:00 am. and after breakfast we start walking down the riverbank. We witness along the way, animals of the region such as birds (parrots, hummingbirds, eagles), wildcats, centipedes, lizards, medicinal plants and fruits such as (banana, mango, orange, mandarin oranges, cocoa, pacay and shady coca, coffee etc) then we get the small town Quellomayo, rest and lunch. Then we walk approx. 1 hour and from there take a shuttle to Santa Teresa, arriving at approximately 4:00 pm approx. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight).
Day 03: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes
Breakfast will be approx. At 8:00 am and then enjoy a couple of hours the lodge and do tarzan activities or canopy (not included) and after approx. At 10:00 am continue by car to Hidroelectrica where we will walk the route and lunch and after about 5 hours will be in Aguas Calientes.
At night you can stroll around the city and visit the thermal baths of this place (dinner and lodging included).
Day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco
In the morning at 5:00 a.m. and wake up at 5:30 a.m. we turn to the most important archaeological site Machu Picchu, we take the first bus and after approx. 25 minutes to reach the checkpoint and entrance to Machu Picchu in once we go to the top of Machu Picchu to start guiding approx. 2 hours, then have free time to enjoy Machu Picchu on your own, after that depending on the time of your return ticket will go down to Aguas Calientes and the guide will help to give instructions to have no problems to return to Ollantaytambo and ollantaytambo station will be waiting for the transfer to take him to the city of Cusco, arriving approx. 11:00
